Discover this vigilant goose art print, a black and white wildlife illustration capturing the quiet strength and attentive posture of this noble bird — perfect as decorative wall art for a nature-inspired home.

The story behind this vigilant goose illustration

When I drew this goose, I was thinking about guardianship.

Some animals protect loudly.
Others simply stand watch.

With her back turned yet gaze alert, this goose carries a calm authority. She does not need movement to command attention — her presence alone speaks of vigilance.

While drawing her, I wanted to capture that quiet strength — the steady presence of one who watches over what matters most.

Like a guardian of the nest.

The symbolism of the goose: strength, loyalty and grace

Geese are remarkable travelers of the wild.

They cross vast distances with their flock, yet always return to the same nesting grounds, guided by instinct and loyalty.

Protective and deeply devoted to their clan, they are known to defend their territory with courage when their nest is threatened.

In this composed stance, the goose reminds us that true guardianship does not need to be loud.

When you bring this goose into your home, you invite:

discreet strength
deep loyalty
vigilant grace

A quiet presence that watches over your nest with dignity.

About the artist

Born near a zoo, I have been observing animal behavior since my early childhood. The poses and attitudes of hundreds of animals are therefore imprinted in my memory. To complete my inspirations, I create collages of animal photographs and I collaborate with Canadian photographers who share their pictures with me. My work then becomes the sum of their time spent behind the camera, rain or shine, plus my hours interpreting the beauty of nature.
